Chicco pushchairs are cheeky and petite, funky and cute. They are reasonably priced, good value for money and easy to use. Most of them are lightweight and come in some lovely, fresh and funky colours such as turquoise, pink, yellow and orange. Chicco make strollers and complete travel systems and most are suitable for babies from birth.
All the Chicco pushchairs are 4-wheeler models with a lightweight chassis, such as the Lite Way, a stylish contemporary Chicco stroller that is suitable for babies from birth up to a maximum weight of 15kg. It is very good value money for money but doesn’t skimp on the features that make usability easy. It has a single handed recline mechanism, ergonomic handles with soft grip handles, a 5-position seat, a detachable folding hood, a footmuff and rain cover, single front wheels for easy manoeuvrability about town, as well as an under seat shopping basket which can also be used as a trendy matching rucksack.
This is such a light stroller that it’s really easy to lift and carry so it’s perfect for taking on public transport or nipping in and out of shops. It comes in four bright, contemporary colours with fancy names – Topazio (turquoise), Fuego (red), Bloom (pink), and Discovery (yellow).
Another super lightweight Chicco stroller is the Winter London Stroller in gorgeous, glossy pink, perfect for little girls (it does come in other colours suitable for little boys as well). Another great value, compact Chicco pushchair is the Chicco CT 0.6 Stroller, ideal for families on the go. It is super-lightweight and compact but only suitable for babies from 6 months. It is perfect for holidays with an easy-open, light aluminium frame, compact folding for easy storage, a 5-point safety harness, 2-position reclining backrest, lockable front swivel wheels and linked rear brakes, a folding removable hood and clear PVC rain cover, a storage bag and mesh shopping basket. Like all Chicco pushchairs it is very user-friendly and reasonably priced.
A good Chicco travel system is the Chicco CT0.2 Duo Travel System, a practical lightweight stroller and first car seat travel system, suitable from birth to 15kg (about 3 years). The stroller has a stylish elliptical tube frame with a multi position reclinable backrest, with “memory recline” (it remembers the position of the seat back before folding), a 3-position adjustable leg rest, a 5-point safety harness with shoulder pads for comfort, a 3-position adjustable handle, a detachable folding hood with viewing window, a large shopping basket and safety features such as lockable front swivel wheels, all round suspension and linked rear brakes.
The Chicco DUO has added extras like a removable, dishwasher safe child tray at the front and a storage tray for parents at the rear, a cup holder and storage compartment. The car seat, which can also be used as a rocker, has an integrated headrest cushion, side head area, back rest, seat cushion and 5-point safety harness with a one pull action, a multi-position hood and it clips securely and easily into the CT0.2 stroller. A single hand unlocking catch also makes removal easy and convenient.
Chicco also make a superb and reasonably priced twin pushchair, the CT 0.5 Twin Stroller, which is suitable from birth and comes complete with hoods, PVC leg covers and shopping baskets with 5 recline positions and adjustable footrests.
There are lots of other variations of Chicco pushchairs but they are all similar in style, looks and functionality, as well as being very good value for money. A perfect buy for beating the credit crunch blues, as you’re little ones will get the comfort and safety they deserve with a Chicco pushchair, but it won’t break the bank.
