Phil and Teds pushchairs are uber-cool, funky but functional pushchairs and buggies made with modern parents in mind.
Phil and Teds manage to inject a bit of fun into the rather serious business of parenting and the difficult process of choosing a pushchair for your little ones. They have retained a sense of humour (their name speaks for itself) while being completely serious about safety and design. Their price tags aren’t cheap but let’s just say you get what you pay for. Phil and Teds pushchairs are contemporary, stylish and innovative.
Phil and Teds invented the original, authentic (patent protected) inline buggies – they are robust and ultra-adaptable so they can grow with your family – and they still look super-cool and stylish. There is nothing subtle about them as they come in bright, bold colours with chunky wheels and alloy frames. Their unique double kit clips easily to the front or back of the buggy so two children basically fit in a buggy no bigger than a single pushchair. Genius! You can use inline buggies for newborns to five years old, and any combination of ages in between, so you won’t need to replace it.
Phil and Teds inline pushchairs come in five funky styles – Classic, Sport, Dash, Hammerhead and Vibe. The names speak volumes, giving some idea of just how contemporary these pushchairs are and in some cases doing exactly what it says on the tin. The Classic is obviously the original and, well, the classic version of the inline. The Sport is, you guessed it, sporty! It’s a rugged off-roader for the more extreme among you, while the Dash suits city living down to a tee. It’s smooth and refined for the more urban parent. The Vibe is sleek, smart and ergonomic, one to be seen around town with. The Hammerhead is an interesting new addition to the family, breaking the mould, as it’s a 4-wheeler for a little more stability in the pack.
As well as the inlines, they make an amazing side-by-side twin buggy that’s narrow enough to fit through standard doorways. Phil and Ted’s double pushchair has independently adjustable seats, each with three positions, including a lie-flat position, so it’s suitable for babies from birth. It has lockable swivel front wheels for easy turning, individual sun hoods to shade delicate eyes and a multi-position handle for the tall and the small – depending on who’s driving! If you’d rather start with one kid and see how it goes all the inlines have double kits that you can buy separately later to add on. Or if you already have two but prefer long and thin to wide and flat go for an inline with a double kit. Which style you choose depends on your lifestyle and personal taste but they’re all excellent.
Phil & Ted’s Sport 3-wheeler is a popular choice as it’s great for around town and adventures further afield, it even has a bumper bar and handles rough terrain brilliantly. As well as looking stylish this pushchair, and all the inlines, are really compact when folded and fit in most cars, even with the double kit on, so they are perfect for taking anywhere. Phil and Teds double buggy is such a fantastic, innovative design with its lightweight alloy frame and easy folding system that you really can’t go wrong with one. The Sport has single-action double brakes for extra safety, a wrist strap, a reversible handle for user comfort, a sun hood with viewing window, quick release wheels for easy transportation, a large shopping basket, a lockable front swivel wheel, a 4-position ergonomic seat that adjusts from flat for newborn to upright for toddler, rear guards and a multi-position handle.
The Vibe is slightly lighter than the Sport and has handle bar operated brakes but otherwise very similar features. It looks less chunky and rugged and more sleek but it still has the option of adding the doubles kit for baby number 2 and is suitable for babies from birth. All Phil and Teds pushchairs come in bold colours such as red, black, charcoal, apple and now blue camo, pink camo and bang-on-trend graffiti combinations such as apple graffiti, blue graffiti, red graffiti. There is nothing neutral about this colour range but with such a good-looking pushchair you want it to get noticed. Phil and Teds really are about fashion and fun as well as practicality.
